John Mayer -- I'm Eating My Words .Dismisses 'Fake Rolex' Lawsuit

John Mayer -- I'm Eating My Words .Dismisses 'Fake Rolex' Lawsuit

John Mayer just got his clock cleaned in a lawsuit in which he claimed he was defrauded by a watch dealer ... because John has not only dismissed his suit ... he now says his claims were false. TMZ has obtained a joint statement between Mayer and Robert Maron, who sold the singer more than $ 600,000 worth of Rolex watches back in 2007. Mayer -- a big- time watch collector -- claimed the watches had counterfeit parts and Maron knew it. Now we've learned Mayer has
dismissed his lawsuit and no money or property changed hands. What's more, their joint statement says, "Two years of research restored John Mayer's belief that Bob Maron is an expert on Rolex watches, and confirmed that Bob Maron never sold him a counterfeit watch." Maron's lawyer, Eric George, said early on he'd beat Mayer in court, but the dismissal is pretty much the same as a jury victory for Maron. BTW ... Maron is best buds with Charlie Sheen and even had a co- executive producer title on "Anger Management."

AT&T President AXED Over Racist Meme Lawsuit

AT&T President AXED Over Racist Meme Lawsuit

One of AT&T's presidents was fired following a company investigation into claims he sent a racist meme to a friend ...via text. TMZ broke the story ... Aaron Slator -- AT&T's President of Content and Ad Sales -- was sued by a former employee who claimed Slator's assistant found the text ... showing a dancing African child with the words, "It's Friday
N**s." The employee filed a racial discrimination suit for $100 million ... claiming Slator had it out for African Americans. A company rep tells TMZ, "Aaron Slator has been terminated. There is no place for demeaning behavior within AT&T and we regret the action was not taken earlier." Interestingly, the employee's lawsuit claimed AT&T knew about the meme, but never took action against Slator. Slator had been a key player in the pending merger between AT&T and DirecTV.
