Lupita Nyong'o's One-of-a-Kind Pearl Oscar Gown Stolenfrom Her Hotel Room--Get the Scoop

Lupita Nyong'o's One-of-a-Kind Pearl Oscar Gown Stolenfrom Her Hotel Room--Get the Scoop

Oh no, say it ain't so! Lupita Nyong'o's 2015 Oscar gown-- You know, the custom Calvin Klein Collection dress made of over 6,000 pearls that she just wore on Sunday--has been stolen from her room at The London Hotel in West Hollywood. E! News has confirmed that police received a call at 11:23
p.m. on Wednesday night claiming that the 12 Years a Slave actress' dress valued at $150,000 had been taken. We've been told detectives from the LAPD are currently investigating the theft by reviewing security surveillance video and interviewing staff and other witnesses in order to catch the burglar. After the shocking news came out this morning, The London Hotel released this statement to E! News: "This is a terribly unfortunate situation, and we are working with law enforcement on their investigation." The dress took months to create and was designed by Francisco Costa in collaboration with Nyong'o. "[We created] a series of textures with intricate placements of a variety of different-sized pearls," Costa told Vogue. "We looked at a variety of different pearls--South Sea, iridescent, and natural--and decided that the natural pearls looked the most beautiful." Let's hope Lupita and her dress are reunited soon. --Additional reporting by Lindsay Good

The Oscars Show Will Go On ... Roaches Dodge Health Inspectors

The Oscars
Show Will Go On ... Roaches Dodge Health Inspectors
Oscars producers can stop holding their breath -- the Health Department combed the Dolby Theater for roaches and other violations, and gave 'em the green light for Sunday's
ceremony ... TMZ has learned. TMZ broke the story ... video shot inside the home of the Oscars showed several bars and a storage area that were filthy with dead cockroaches, flying bugs, dirty sinks, garbage and more. Health Department Manager Charlene Contreras tells TMZ they sent 2 inspectors
to the theater late Thursday afternoon -- hours after we posted the video -- to check the 6 bar areas. She says no roaches or flies turned up. Contreras says the critters in the video may have set up camp in areas that are unused between events. Bottom line ... celebs won't have to worry about crawling critters on Sunday. They're on their own with agents
and lawyers though.
