THE NIGERIANS STRUGGLES AND THEIR STRENGTHS TILL TODAY

For many years, the Nigerian peoples have gone through so many difficulties in life and at the same time they have manage to survive. They fought for their freedom, afterwards the Nigerians are convincing that what ever problems they are facing in the near future Nigerians will overcome such problems and not to forget these would have caused them lost of lives and properties.

Additionally, when the military regime got hold of power in the Country, the young and old were being frustrated, these brought out so many coup d e'tat. It did not come out easy for the Nigerians who were brave enough to come out and fight for the rights of the people.

Civilian rule did not exist among them but it was not to be something that will be in existence for a long period of time. Abiola contested in some years back, Obasanjo became the first elected president after the collapse of military rule. Nigerians felt they have achieved the right to vote, freedom of speech, etc.

Unfortunately for the Nigerians most of the politicians are corrupt who only cares for their needs and ignores the masses who are left alone to struggle on their own. The Nigerian peoples are all living the average life where no one can determine one's great potentials or future. Most of the graduates have no jobs and roam about the streets of the Country to find what to eat and feed the family. Nigeria is rated among one of the most corrupted countries in the world and the leaders are not concerned or bothered about it. Corruption has so much distrupted and disgraced the image and recognition of the Country to compare to its prestige in the time of Awolowo.
